Save The Date.

May 14, 2006: Mother's Day.

Calling all mothers & others: You can brunch if you wanna, but make room for the pulsing heart of the greater human family; come join the parade!!

Wrap your apron strings around this: in alignment with Julia Ward Howe's incredibly moving Mother's Day proclamation, this is the year that Middle Tennessee will reclaim the day, restoring it to its rightful glory.

Bring it on: church elders & gospel choirs, pink collar goddesses, stitch & bitchers, radical knitters, marching bands, walkers on stilts, butchers, bakers, candlestick makers, mamas and nurslings, daddies with ring slings. Here there and everywhere, we'll be joining our sisters across the land with a Big Mama batch of fun and presence in Nashville's First Annual Mother's Day In The Street event.

Among those already on board: members & familiars of Mothers Acting Up, Code Pink and others. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for details and please contact me anon should you wish to participate as an individual or an entity.

Midwives at work. Birth is imminent.
